How much does a website cost in Marbella? Real prices in 2026
Why a website can cost €300, €1,200 or over €1,500, what the price depends on and what to ask before accepting a quote.
If you have asked for a website quote in Marbella, this has probably happened to you: one agency says €300, another €1,200 and another over €1,500. And nobody really explains why. It is not that some are ripping you off and others are not: you are comparing different things that share the same name.
In this guide I explain, without jargon, what is behind each price, what it depends on and which questions to ask before signing a quote. It comes from what we see every week with businesses in Marbella and the Costa del Sol that reach us after collecting three or four quotes. Although we use Marbella as a reference, these prices are typical across Spain, and we work remotely with businesses in any city.
Short answer: the three price levels
In today’s market, a website for a local business usually falls into one of these three levels:
- Template with your logo · from €300An existing design is reused and the colours, logo and text are swapped. Fast and cheap, but your site looks like hundreds of others and nobody has thought about how to win you customers.
- Custom design that is “just pretty” · around €1,200It is designed for your brand and looks good. But the goal is to be liked, not to bring in enquiries: nobody works on what your customers search for on Google or how to persuade them to call.
- A website built to win customers · from €1,500Custom-made and, on top of that, every page is built around what your customers search for on Google and one clear action: call, message on WhatsApp, book or ask for a quote. This is the one that works for you even while you sleep.
These are indicative market prices for local business websites (not large online shops or custom platforms). The difference between levels is not the number of pages: it is what the website is built for.
What the price of a website depends on
Within each level, the final quote moves with these factors. If someone gives you a price without asking about them, be wary.
- Number of pages and services. A one-page site is not the same as one with a page for each service you offer. To show up on Google, every important service should have its own.
- Languages. In Marbella it is very common to need the site in English (and sometimes more languages). Each language is almost another website: copy, review and setup so Google understands it.
- Copy. Do you write it yourself, or is it written around what your customers search for? The copy has the biggest influence on whether Google shows you, and it is the most underestimated part.
- Special features. Online booking, multi-step forms, catalogues you update yourself, a client area, a connection to your management software…
- SEO and tracking. Whether it includes the basics to show up on Google (speed, structure, Google Maps listing) and whether the enquiries it brings in are measured.
- Photos and material. Whether you already have good photos of your business or they need to be produced.
Cheap can be expensive (and so can expensive)
Picture two websites for the same business. One just sits there, looking nice, waiting for someone to find it. The other shows up when someone searches for what you do in your area, tells them in five seconds why to choose you and puts the call button right in front of them. The first is an expense. The second is an investment that pays for itself.
That is why the useful question is not “how much does it cost?” but “how much does this website need to bring in to pay for itself?”. If a new customer is worth €300 to you, a €1,500 website pays for itself with five customers. If Google brings you two a month, it is paid off in three months and the rest is profit.
If they cannot explain how it will bring you customers, you are not paying for a website. You are paying for a template with your logo on it.
And the other way round: paying a lot does not guarantee anything either. We have seen beautiful websites costing several thousand euros that Google could barely read. The price has to match what you are actually getting.
Costs they do not always mention
Besides the design, a website has some running costs worth knowing from the start:
- Domain (yourbusiness.com): a few euros a year.
- Hosting: the “place” where the website lives. Good hosting for a business site is usually between €5 and €20 a month.
- Maintenance: security updates and backups. You can do it yourself, but someone has to; an unmaintained site ends up hacked or broken.
- Future changes: ask up front how changes are charged once the site has been delivered.
And a very important one: the domain, the hosting and the website must be in your name. If you change provider tomorrow, your website has to go with you.
5 questions before accepting a quote
- How will this website bring me customers? They should talk about what your customers search for on Google and what you want visitors to do, not just about design.
- If nobody finds me on Google tomorrow, could you tell me why? If the answer is vague, SEO is not really included.
- What exactly is included and what is not? Copy, languages, photos, forms, Google listing… In writing.
- Will I be able to see how many enquiries it brings in? A website that is not measured cannot be improved.
- Is it all mine and can I edit it myself? Domain, hosting and full access to the admin panel.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to build a website?
A local business website is usually ready in a few weeks. What affects the timeline most is not the design but having the copy, photos and client decisions on time.
Is a €300 website enough for me?
If you only need an online business card so people who already know you can find your phone number, it may do. If you want new customers to find you on Google, almost never: a template without content and SEO work rarely shows up in local searches.
Is SEO included or extra?
The basics (structure, speed, copy, Google listing) should be included in the website. What you hire separately is the ongoing monthly work to climb the rankings; we offer it as local SEO, with no lock-in contract.
Do I need a website if I already have Instagram?
Instagram helps people who already follow you get to know you. A website is what shows up when someone who does not know you searches Google for what you do. They work together: social media builds trust and the website turns searches into customers.
